How it works
Control is something you switch on and off deliberately. Nothing is left configured on your router when you stop.
Choose the adapter on the network you mean to manage; its local address and gateway confirm the right one.
Start control and let discovery list the devices on that IPv4 network, with the names the network publishes.
Set a per-device speed limit, pause a connection or add a domain rule, on the one device you select.
Select Stop & Restore Network to put the network’s normal mappings back before you disconnect or shut down.
Download the 14-day Windows trial and run every feature on your own network. A one-time Personal licence is planned; nothing is for sale yet.
1.1.0 Trial 2 is a prerelease trial build. Paid activation is not available yet. Licences are not on sale, and this trial cannot be converted into a paid Personal licence until the commercial release adds licence activation. The 14-day trial period is what the build offers today.

All features are available during the 14-day trial. Device discovery, live bandwidth monitoring, per-device speed limits, internet pause and domain rules are all included, and the trial is the same installer a licensed user runs.
This is not settled yet, so no claim is made here. Whether the trial asks for a payment card will be stated on this page once a payment provider has been chosen. The published trial build does not ask for one, because there is no checkout behind it.

That is what the 14-day trial is for: the full feature set runs on your own network before any payment. Read the compatibility limits first. Guest Wi-Fi, client isolation, a second router or an uncooperative Wi-Fi driver can all prevent control, and none of those can be worked around from the application. If something behaves unexpectedly, email support@ytscontrol.com with what you are seeing.
No. The Personal licence is a one-time purchase.
No. The price is the same everywhere: US$49.99 once, in US dollars. Where a reference exchange rate is available, the pricing card can also show approximately what that comes to in a local currency. That is a conversion of the same price, not a regional discount or a country-based price. The region and currency shown on the pricing card can be changed by hand, and that choice affects the display only.
The payment provider has not been selected yet, so this page makes no claim about it. Any local amount shown beside the price is an estimate converted at the latest reference exchange rate; the checkout is what confirms the actual currency, exchange rate, taxes and charged amount.
An activated licence allows continued use of eligible YTS Control 1.x versions without recurring payment.
A Personal licence supports up to 3 personally owned computers.
Technically, YTS Control may be useful on an authorised business network, but the licence planned for launch is Personal, for personally owned computers, and purchasing is not open yet. There is no commercial or organisational licence to buy today, and the Personal licence does not grant commercial, organisational, shared-workspace or multi-user rights. Business licensing and deployment terms will be published before commercial purchasing opens. You may evaluate the 14-day trial on any network you own or are authorised to administer.
All version 1.x updates are included.
Future major releases such as YTS Control 2.0 may be offered as paid upgrades.
No. The same trial-enabled application becomes licensed after activation. Purchasing does not provide a different executable.
The deactivation and transfer process will be documented before launch. No self-service transfer is claimed until the licensing system genuinely supports it. Until then, a transfer is arranged by emailing support@ytscontrol.com.

On the network your selected adapter is on, YTS Control discovers connected devices, monitors live per-device upload and download, sets per-device download and upload speed limits, pauses and restores a single device’s internet access, and applies domain rules per device. It acts on the one device you select; the rest of the network is untouched. IPv6 traffic is not controlled, and it does not decrypt HTTPS.
No. YTS Control runs on your own computer and works from the network it is already connected to. You do not need the router’s administration password, and no configuration is written to the router.
Discovery and control work by capturing and injecting packets on your network adapter, which Windows only permits with administrator rights. Without them, YTS Control cannot see devices or apply any control. Nothing is written to your router, and no router password is needed.
No. HTTPS is not decrypted. YTS Control observes destination-domain metadata where the network exposes it: DNS names, TLS server names and HTTP hosts. Page contents, searches, messages and passwords remain encrypted and are not readable.
Npcap provides the packet capture and injection support on Windows that YTS Control builds on. It is developed and distributed separately, so you install it yourself from npcap.com. Enabling WinPcap API-compatible mode during Npcap setup is recommended. YTS Control does not include or redistribute Npcap.
No. YTS Control is proprietary commercial software. Third-party components remain subject to their respective licence terms and notices included with the application distribution. Maintained by ruffangeles and distributed as compiled binaries and installers. No source archive is published on this site.
Check that you selected the adapter connected to the network you mean to manage, that the devices are on the same IPv4 network rather than behind another router, and that YTS Control is running with administrator access. Guest networks and client isolation can also block discovery entirely. Once those are confirmed, run discovery again. If discovery still finds nothing, email support@ytscontrol.com with your adapter type and network setup.
Select Stop & Restore Network, which puts the network’s normal mappings back. If a device is still affected, reconnecting its Wi-Fi, or disabling and re-enabling the adapter involved, clears the stale state.
IPv6 traffic is not controlled in the current release. Discovery and control operate on IPv4.
Often not. Guest networks commonly enable client isolation, which prevents devices seeing one another and stops discovery working. This is a property of the network, not something the application can work around.
No installer is involved, but the ZIP archive must be extracted in full before running the application. Running it from inside the compressed archive will not work. Administrator access and Npcap are still required.
Each download is listed with its exact filename, byte size and SHA-256 value, and every release also publishes a sidecar .sha256 file per asset and a SHA256SUMS.txt covering all of them. Compute the checksum with certutil -hashfile on Windows, then compare it with the published value. If the two strings differ, delete the download and fetch it again.
Linux support is in development and no Linux build is published, so this site offers no Linux download and no date for one. Linux Mint and Ubuntu are the primary targets of that work. Windows 10 and Windows 11 are what the published trial build supports.
YTS Control stores settings and licensing information in the current user’s local application-data directory. On Windows that is a per-user application-data folder inside your user profile; on Linux, a per-user data folder inside your home directory. A settings.backup.json file is kept alongside the main file to reduce the chance of losing your configuration to an interrupted write or a temporary file lock.
No. Automatic remote update checks are currently disabled, which the Preferences page states directly. The downloads section of this site states the current release status, so check there when you want to know whether a newer version exists.
