Stop & Restore Network, explained
Stop & Restore Network is the control that undoes what YTS Control is doing and hands your devices back to their normal connection. Using it before you close the app or change networks is the single most important habit for keeping everything reversible.
What this solves
While YTS Control is applying limits or a pause, it’s actively managing how a device’s traffic flows on the local network. Stop & Restore Network cleanly ends that management and returns the network to the state it would be in if YTS Control weren’t running. It’s how you make sure nothing is left half-applied.
What you need
- YTS Control running, with one or more devices currently limited or paused.
Step by step
- Finish what you’re doingDecide you’re done monitoring or controlling for now. There’s no need to remove each limit or pause individually first.
- Use Stop & Restore NetworkActivate the Stop & Restore Network control. This tells YTS Control to release the devices it’s been managing.
- Let it completeGive it a moment to finish. Restoring is quick, but let it complete rather than force-closing the app midway.
- Confirm devices are back to normalDevices you had limited or paused should return to their usual connection. If one seems slow to recover, running Stop & Restore again — or reconnecting that device to the network — resolves it.
When to use it
- Before closing YTS Control — always, so nothing is left applied after the app is gone.
- Before switching networks — for example moving your laptop to a different Wi-Fi.
- Whenever you want a clean slate — to return everything to normal in one step.
What you should see
After Stop & Restore Network completes, previously limited or paused devices behave exactly as they did before you used YTS Control — full speed, connected as normal.
Common errors
- Closing the app without restoring first: the habit to avoid. Run Stop & Restore Network, then close.
- Changing networks mid-session: restore first, then switch.
- A device seems stuck: run Stop & Restore Network again, or reconnect that device to the network.
Limitations to keep in mind
Stop & Restore Network reverses what YTS Control changed — it isn’t a fix for unrelated network problems. If a device had trouble before you started, restoring won’t change that. For devices that never appeared in the first place, see the device-discovery troubleshooting guide.
